Pre-K Program

Preschool

Our Pre-K program is designed to help children develop the skills necessary for a successful beginning to their school career. We use the Learning Without Tears Curriculum, Heggerty Phonics, and Pocket of Preschool to create a comprehensive and engaging learning environment.

In our Pre-K program, children engage in a variety of activities that promote academic, social, and emotional development. Our curriculum includes:

  • Language Arts: Focusing on letter recognition, phonics, and early writing skills.
  • Math: Introducing basic concepts such as counting, shapes, and simple arithmetic.
  • Music: Exploring rhythm, melody, and various musical instruments.
  • Science: Encouraging curiosity and experimentation with hands-on activities.
  • Bible Lessons: Teaching Christian values and stories from the Bible to foster spiritual growth.

Children must be 4 years old by August 15th to enter the program, aligning with the school schedule. Our lesson plans follow the TN-ELDS curriculum, ensuring that all educational standards are met.

The Pre-K program is fun and exciting! We are committed to getting your child ready for kindergarten academically, spiritually, and socially. Our classroom is filled with age-appropriate toys and activities that encourage learning through play and exploration.

Your child will eat from the weekly menu. If a child cannot eat what is on the weekly menu, a doctor’s note must be provided based on CACFP regulations, and you will need to bring a substitute food item for that day.

Daily Updates

Parents receive daily updates through the Brightwheel app, including pictures and videos when time allows. These updates cover:

  • Meals
  • Naps
  • Playtime activities
  • Learning experiences

What to bring

  • Backpack big enough to hold a standard folder
  • 2 changes of clothes (season-appropriate)

At Christian Wee Learn Center, we sanitize our toys and classroom items daily using the ZONO Sanitizing Machine to ensure a clean and safe environment.
