Coronavirus Update

March 13, 2020

Dear parents and caregivers,

This is a very challenging time for all of us; which is the point, we are all in this together. Collectively we can make a difference and keep each other safe and healthy.

COVID-19 is transmitted by people who are both symptomatic and asymptomatic and being transmitted among those who have not traveled abroad. It seems reasonable that we act to minimize contact prior to cases being identified. To that end, it is my intent to clarify our measured strategy for moving forward.

  • We ask that no visitors come with you when picking up your child. Only Parents will be allowed past the Commons Doors. If someone is with you please ask them to sit and wait outside the doors.
  • Please drop off and pick up your child at the classroom door without entering the classroom.
  • Any staff member who is not feeling well will not be permitted on campus. No exceptions.
  • Children who have symptoms and/or fevers of any grade will be sent home.
  • We ask that any parent or caregiver who is feeling sick or symptomatic refrain from entering the campus. Additionally, that person should keep their children at home.
  • While we know that children appear to be less susceptible to the COVID-19 virus, health officials warn that they can be carriers.
  • We are working hard to teach your children proper hand washing techniques. Please reinforce this at home.
  • Daily cleaning with government approved products will be on going.

Depending on how this plays out in the next several weeks we may have to do some adjusting of rooms and staff. Please be patient with us as we try our very best to keep your children and our staff safe while continuing to remain open.

As always, I appreciate your patience during this unusual period. Please feel free to share your thoughts and concerns with us as well as extend patience and grace as we move forward.
